Caitlin and Colin’s wedding was a PARTY! Let me set the scene. But before I do let me also back up.
They could not have picked a more perfect day. August is typically a rainy month in Utah and their wedding fell on the ONLY sunny day all week. Like I went location scouting for their first look up Guardsman’s Pass a few days prior and it was so foggy I could barely see in front of the car.
Caitlin and Colin met through a dating app–so popular these days and no shame because that’s how I met my fiance–back in Chicago. They loved the outdoors and wanted a change so they moved to Utah where they literally knew no one. Their love for the outdoors brought them close with a great group of friends–I know they’re great because some of them are past clients!–and those friends became their family out here.
When they were planning their wedding they knew they wanted to do it in the mountains which brings us to Brighton Resort. They did their first look up Guardsman’s Pass and their ceremony at the base of the Milly Lift. It was GORGEOUS. Perfect 75 degree sunny weather which is so rare in Utah in August. They had drinks flowing, the dance floor was jiving, and even happy birthday was sang to one of Caitlin’s close family friends who she use to babysit. It really was a huge celebration and party.
